Abstract: This layer represents Regulated Navigational Areas as specified by the National Archives and Records Administration Code of Federal Regulations, Title 33 parts 147 and 165 pertaining to the United States Coast Guard.

Purpose: The purpose of this data is to provide a map layer containing Regulated Navigational Areas for the United States as contained in the Code of Federal Regulation documentation. A regulated navigation area is a water area within a defined boundary for which regulations for vessels navigating within the area have been established.
